Body and Mind Boudoir
Welcome, I am so glad you are here.
Boudoir encapsulates an experience that celebrates who you are, as you are, in a non-judgmental and celebratory space. My focus is on empowering you through photography to see the beauty that radiates both internally and externally. I believe a boudoir shoot is an additional healing modality where everyone involved, whether you are having the shoot for yourself, or gifting it to a partner (or both!!), wins.
The Studio
All my NYC sessions (I also do sessions in Jamaica!) take place in my private loft studio near the Brooklyn Museum and The Barclays Center.
The space has couches, a bed, windows, mirrors, and other warm and inviting details that we flow through during your session.
Over the 800 sessions that have taken place since 2016, I have cultivated a vibe where even if boudoir is new, you can feel like you are just chilling in a friend’s living room, living your best life
The Wardrobe
I understand that figuring out what to wear for your session can be both daunting and exciting. I’ve created several options so you can choose what feels best for you.
I offer a studio lingerie closet, with outfits ranging from sizes 4x-00, that is included in every session. I like to view the closet as an insurance policy. Meaning, you could show up at my studio tomorrow and we would have a successful session. It also means going shopping is not required to do a shoot.
Interested in creating your own stash of lingerie that you feel good in? My clients receive discounts at lingerie shops in NYC that share my values of inclusivity and diversity for all shapes and sizes.
Have your own goodies at home? Love it, bring it all!
Fun fact about me, my Great-Grandma Selma was a famous bra fitter on the Upper West Side until the age of 96! If you want a chuckle, I would highly recommend this clip of her on the Rosie O’Donnell show!
Your Session
The most important part? I am with you every step of the way. The guidance I offer is a highlight of the studio. I also believe that is how we create the most beautiful photographs.
All poses are demonstrated to you, a client once described it as Nomi Says instead of Simon Says. I will never leave you floundering about what to do with your body or facial expressions, that’s why you have me as your ally!
I promise, that by the end, you’ll be enjoying yourself. With boudoir, it’s easy to think of all the various details , but part of the magic is that YOU are all you need to have a successful session.
