“What do I wear to my boudoir photo shoot??” Is a very common question when it comes to boudoir. What kind of lingerie? What looks best? What will look good on me? All normal questions and I’m going to help take you through it so you can make the best decisions for you!
Before I go deeper, I want to say that I LOVE helping you choose your outfits. Lingerie and my family history in the lingerie business is part of how I got into boudoir in the first place. I love helping you find outfits that work for you.
There are three options (and clients often will do a combination) when it comes to what to wear at a boudoir shoot with me.
Utilize the studio lingerie closet
Go shopping and take advantage of the Boudoir by Nomi client discount at either Maison Close in Soho or the Rack Shack in Brooklyn
Bring a bag (or suitcase lol) of what you already have
I’ll go a little bit more in-depth with each option
The studio lingerie closet has outfits in EVERY size. I have teddys, body suits, bra/panty sets. You can see some of the options in the post. It’s a combo of sweet and lacy items with more sheer/fierce items. I also have a bunch of robes! Often clients will bring a bra/panty set they love and use a robe over it.
I am thrilled to be partnered with both Maison Close and Rack Shack. My clients receive 15-20% off at these shops. Once you book your shoot I’ll give you all the info on how to redeem. The managers/owners at both these shops love hanging with you and choosing the best outfits. It is definitely a fun time prior to your session.
Bring whatever you have that you know you already like! I think it’s fun to incorporate a piece that you already love and then be able to enjoy it in a new light.
At the end of the day, what you wear should be about what YOU feel most comfortable in. I can’t wait to photograph you in whatever makes you feel your best.
