Growing up the daughter of two rabbis (yes, both my mom and dad are rabbis) there was a lot of learning and text study at both home and school. One principle I learned and have loved that I think relates to Boudoir photography is the idea that we are all made in God’s image. In Hebrew it’s Says, “B&tselem Elohim”. Whether you have a religious identity or not, or believe in the concept of G-d, feel like you are spiritual, whatever, I love the idea that who we are is in Gods image, that you are enough, that you are a co plate being and you are whole. For me, that is what Boudoir is all about. .
Boudoir isn’t about one body shape, or having certain facial features, or a specific age range. It’s about coming as you are and being embraced for just that. .
I love and connect with photographing you. We all have struggles, but if we can come back to the idea that we are all made in God’s image as an affirmation that we are enough, then your photos will shine. . I believe Boudoir is an act of helping repair the world, one session by one session, helping to make people feel complete and whole in their own unique beauty. Say it with me because I know it’s true, “I am whole and beautiful.” You are B’tselem Elohim.
