My first photo class was in college and I was hooked. I loved spending time in the darkroom and having a camera with me wherever I went. I’ve been a photo geek ever since.
When you hire me to take your photographs, I’m not just shooting automatic, I’m photographing manual. I’m taking into consideration the light in the studio, your skin tone, and the vibe you’re looking for in your photos.
There are three important pieces to creating a beautiful photo, ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. On today’s blog I’m going to chat about the aspect I play with the most, ISO.
ISO has to do with the light sensitivity of the photo. If I shoot at 100 ISO it’s because there is A TON of light flooding the studio. If I shoot at 5000 ISO It’s probably the afternoon and I want the photo to be brighter.
These are the details that go into making the most beautiful photo possible. I love to bump up the ISO because it creates an ethereal, other-worldly, vibe to the photo.
Talk soon loves!
